What you should know before your appointment...

Understand that in order to schedule a dental with us, you must first schedule a dental check for our doctors to evaluate the level of dental care your pet needs. The dental check solely consists of the veterinarian evaluating your pet's mouth to determine what level of dental care is needed. If you would like anything else looked at, you must schedule an exam. Dental checks can be scheduled via our website's home page. Dental visits can only be scheduled by our front desk staff and not online.

Understand that blood work prior to anesthesia may be required if your pet is more than 6 years old. ACAC offers basic bloodwork for $89 or advanced bloodwork for $116.

Understand that ACAC does offer dental x-rays. If the veterinarian deems it necessary to perform dental x-rays or you choose to have dental x-rays taken, it is an additional charge of $40 that you are responsible for paying.

Understand that extractions may be necessary, and you are authorizing this procedure. The veterinarian will use his/her discretion to decide what teeth need to be extracted due to disease and will only extract what is medically best for your pet. Understand there is no way to tell how many teeth need to be extracted prior to the full dental exam under anesthesia.

Our mission at AlterClinic Animal Care is to provide safe and affordable spay and neuter services to companion pet owners in our local and nearby communities, while offering limited and affordable wellness care. In order to follow our mission, it is required that all patients for elective procedures (dentals, other surgeries, etc.) are spayed/neutered. This can be done at the same time as the elective procedure unless otherwise stated by our doctors.
